Care and support assistants will preserve and maintain the dignity, individuality and privacy of all people we support and will be sensitive to individuals ever changing needs and requirements. At North Haven Care and Support, we believe your independence matters. North Haven staff will be there when you need them most whilst still giving you your independence. Our trained staff team will support you with dignity and respect for needs such as: personal care, meal preparation, medication, supported outings and companionship.
Live-In Care
North Haven can provide tailor made, one-to-one support in the comfort of your own home. We aim to maximise your independence, allowing you to maintain your lifestyle with the support of a Live-In carer. Your team will work individually to your care and support requirements. Live In Care is an affordable alternative to a registered care or nursing home.

The Team at North Haven Care are absolutley Fabulous and I highly recommend them. They supported and cared for Mam during my her last few weeks of her life and showed nothing more than genuine caring, empathy, support and compassion. The ladies were amazing with Mam and it was the first time we as a family had felt reassured that she was in safe hands when we could not be there. My Mum had a sudden stroke in October 2020 in the middle of the pandemic. If I thought I was stressed about the pandemic, then it was nothing compared to the aftermath of her stroke. I live about a three hour drive away and Mum was determined to try to stay in her own home, a decision which I was happy to support.
North Haven Care began looking after Mum after the initial post-hospital care finished in January 2021. I had no previous experience with care systems; it was a very steep learning curve for me and had to trust Chris and his girls to do what they are good at. They have been most caring and conscientious and very friendly towards me when I have been around.
There have been several changes of circumstances and North Haven have stepped in at very short notice without complaint. Chris has been very patient with my questions and most compassionate under the difficult situations.
Tracy made a very good "call" when a serious situation arose and it was quickly resolved as a result. For that I am very grateful.
Mum has finally come round to the idea that she should be in a care home near me to save me the stress of frequent long-distance travelling, however, I will be eternally grateful for the care provided for the past four months.

North haven are looking after my 86 year old mum who lives alone. She was very reluctant at first to have carers, however she now looks forward to their twice daily visits. The girls have become friends as well as professional carers. Nothing is too much trouble.
We have access to the online care plan and can check on the twice daily visit reports no matter where we are in the world. This gives us peace of mind that all is well.

As a rule I’m not normally one for posting reviews but in this case I certainly think it’s warranted because since taking over the care of my beloved little mam, Chris & the girls, in fact the whole team, have been absolutely superb & the affection, attention & Care my mam has received often goes above & beyond & in my experience that’s certainly not something that you can always honestly say...
It really puts my mind at ease to know how much my mam looks forward to the girls coming & I cannot praise ALL at North Haven Care & Support, highly enough... apart from just to say a hugely recommended 5 Star service... from a Fantastic Team..

Just read other reviews about North Haven Care and Support and can only add to all the lovely things that have been said really.
We as a family have had from the very beginning and continue to be given such fabulous care and support.
Everything has ran smoothly from day one. Our needs have been accommodated, met and adapted to suit my mother in laws changing needs. The use of the app, keeps us instantly updated about visits.
Chris, Vicky, Debbie, Chloe, Lesley, Holly we thank you all for the care and support given to date.
But especially to Aleks. What a wonderful young lady she is.
She has been my Mother in laws main carer the whole time. So honest, professional, caring, supportive and mature. She has kept us informed all the way and made some really good 'calls' when needed. Nothing has ever been too much trouble. She knows how highly we think of her and everything she does on a daily basis. Thank you just isn't enough.
Life can be very stressful and exhausting at times caring for an elderly member of your family. You love them and want the best care and support for them. You try the very best you can to do it yourself and as a family collectively.
You can not do it alone 24/7 with the best of intentions.
At some point you want and really need help. Individual, Personal Honest, Professional, Contactable, Dependable, Adaptable help.
North Haven Care and Support have in my opinion bridged that gap for us as a family, met and continued to meet ours and my mother in law's ever changing needs and we would absolutely recommend them to anyone out there looking for a care company for their very much loved one!

This company have been providing care for my Mother since early April. Prior to commencing care, Chris, the owner of the company visited me. He was accompanied by Alex, the lady who would be providing most of Mam's care. They both took a great interest in what I said. This was pleasing and comforting as I felt the care would be personalised to Mam. I have not been disappointed. Alex quickly developed a good rapport with Mam and understands her needs perfectly. When Alex has been on leave, the other carers have exhibited a high level of professionalism and care. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for care in the home for a loved one.

North Haven Care were brought in to care for my mam in Jan 2020 in the Roker area. From the first visit I knew these were the people I wanted looking after and caring for my mam. Chris the manager came to introduce himself and explained what the company was about and what they did, to Vicky the supervisor who came to find out what my mams needs were, she then fetched the care workers in to introduce my mam to them. Everything was controlled by an app on their mobile phones from checking in and out, to medication, to mam's personal needs etc.
Vicky played a big part at the beginning of the care making sure all my mam's needs were met before she was satisfied everything was being done that needed doing. The main 2 girls (Alex and Chloe) who became the main two caring for my mam on a regular basis ended up playing a big part in our lives as well as my mam's as this was peace of mind for me and my brother knowing she was getting looked after properly.
Mam adored all of them and got on really well with them and them with her which is a very reassuring for the family and for the company. Vicky had such high standards and such a personal touch and expects her girls to follow this.
After about 10 weeks we sadly started my mams end of life care. This was such a crucial role to play for everyone as we just wanted mam to be as comfortable as possible. Well I must say North haven care team lived up to my expectations and cared for my mam until the end. On 15th of march mam took to been bed ridden, on the 18th of march mam deteriorated and the last visit from the 2 girls was 9 clock on that evening who turned her made her comfortable, got a small amount of water down her, washed her down, even got a smile out of her before they left not knowing she wouldn't make it through the night. At 15 mins past midnight on the 19th march mam passed away peacefully in bed at home with her family.
I couldn't of asked for a better caring company to care for my mam I only wish they had cared for my mam sooner rather than later. This would have made my job as a family carer much more easier and less stressful and would have given me more one onto one time with my mam which Vicky pointed out is so important in the later stages.
I'd like to thank Chris and his team very very much from the bottom of my heart for the care they provided for my mam.
